Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As a correspondent she will cover all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan was raised within the space industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. During that time, she also covered two impeachment proceedings for President Trump, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the spread of coronavirus. Kristin travelled extensively, both with the president and vice president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in 2014. The firm specialized on creating documentaries for corporate clients which included Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
